Viking Electric Supply is pleased to participate in ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition in Albert Lea. Each episode of “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” is self-contained and features a race against time on a project that would ordinarily take at least four months to achieve, involving a team of designers, contractors and several hundred workers who have just seven days to totally rebuild an entire house – every single room, plus the exterior and landscaping.
This season’s theme is “Heroes in the Community”. Viking Electric is working with Albert Lea Electric to provide electrical products for the home being constructed by Larson Contracting for the Dirk and Susan DeVries family in Freeborn County, Minnesota.
Ty Pennington, team leader of the show and the design team, notified the DeVries family by showing up at the family’s Freeborn County area residence on Tuesday, September 30, 2008. Home builder Larson Contracting, with assistance from many sub-contractors such as Albert Lea Electric, has one-week to complete the new home.
Viking Electric is honored to have been selected to be a part of the team making a difference for one of the “Heroes in our Community”!

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, which has won back-to-back Emmy awards as Best Reality Program (non-competitive), is entering its 6 th season on ABC.
